Digital Leaders 2015 Applications.

As it is January, it is time to begin the process of appointing our Digital Leaders. Last year was the first year we introduced Digital Leaders and it was a huge success as the children got the chance to develop their leadership skills. They helped to promote and inspire ICT in our school by teaching groups of children, implementing e-safeguarding, reviewing technologies and encourage others to use ICT more effectively.

This year there will be responsibilities added to the position of Digital Leader.  Children will have to present information to parents regarding E-Safety, monitor the use of iPad apps across the whole school and help with the planning and organistion of Minecraft across the school.

To be considered for interview stage, the children have had to answer the following questions.

1. Why do you want to become a Digital Leader?

2. Give an example of something that you are responsible for at home or in school.

3. What skills do you have that would make you a good Digital Leader?

4. What is your favourite thing about ICT either at home or at school?

    1. I would like to be a digital leader to help the other pupils with there coding. I would like to help other people with there minecraft building skills.
    2. At home I am responsible for cleaning my room. I am resonsible for dyring the dishes
    3. I have good coding skills on GamePress, Minecraft and Hopscotch.
    4. I like to be good at ICT to play like minecraft because you would need to count how much blocks wide are across.I like to cummacate

    1. I would like to become a didital leader because I would like to help the younger children with the iPads and show them how to use GamePress , Minecraft , scratch , Hopscotch and lots of other coding games.
    2. At home I am responsible for helping my dad at his lough and doing the dish washer and at school I am responsible for helping younger children or friends when they get hurt.
    3. My skills are that I know how to work all the coding games , I know how to go on to settings and turn on the WIFI and I know how to install games.
    4. My favourite thing about the iPads in school is that you get to do activities on Explain everything ,Book creator and pages and then if we be good after we get to play a game.

    1 I would like to become a digital leader because I would like to help the younger pupils with their coding skills and programming skills.
    2 At home I help my mum and dad if they get stuck with somthing on the computer or iPad.
    3 I have good coding and programming skills, I work well in a group and I'm confidant with iPads and computers. I would be very patient with my teaching.
    4 My favourit thing about ICT at school is we get to do minecraft, GamePress and coding.

    1.I want to become a digital leader because I enjoy helping younger children on the iPads and hopefully teach them well enough so that they can hopefully teach their friends!
    2.In school I am a pupil council member so I feel that I am good at taking part in group work and listening to other opinions, At home I am responsible with doing the house work.
    3.I have talking and listening skills so I could explain tasks or help with coding skills, I think I have quite a lot of patience so if it takes time for a younger pupil to understand coding or indeed MineCraft I would listen to them and help them to learn a bit quicker.
    4.At school our ICT is progressing a lot we have recently purchased more iPads and have computers in every class but my favourite thing about ICT at school is all the learning apps on the iPads my personal favourite is GamePress. GamePress is a coding app were you get to make your own games like Mario Brothers! Also I love that on the computers that we all get a chance to play MineCraft and we recently built our classroom, compass, Eiffel Tower and an indoor swimming pool! Lastly we all love to use Explain Everything . This app is a power point like app, you can use text , record your voice and draw ! We used it to explain to the year 5 pupils how to do inverse division.

    1.I want to become a digital leader so I can help younger children with their ICT like raspberry pi and even Minecraft.
    2.At home I try and help my two younger sisters with coding.
    3.I like working in groups.I know how to build things in Minecraft.
    4.My favorite thing in ICT is making games and playing Minecraft.

    1I want to be a Digital leader so that I help the younger children in the school .
    1.So that I can help the teachers understand more about the ipads .
    2. I help my mum and dad with the cleaning and with my wee brothers .
    2. I help the younger children in school when they fall .
    3. I can work in a team with people .
    3. I can understand younger children .
    4. That I can text my friends .
    4. That I can help younger people .

    I want to be a digital leader as I would like to help others.
    I am responsible at home for our two cats.
    My skills are that I have an interest and eager to help and learn.
    I love minecraft and everything to do with ict.

    1.I want to teach younger children how to play minecraft. Also I want show them how digital is the way forward.
    2.I am responsible for staying overnight with my mum to keep my elderly granny company.
    3.My skills are building, coding and explaining.
    4.Challenging me to get to a higher level.

    1.I would like to be a digital leader because I want to help staff and pupils in the school with I C T problems.
    2.I am responsible at home and school. Everyday I help my mummy and daddy in the kitchen, that I have all my work done correctly and all the right books for homework, waking up and getting breakfast, washed and dressed ready for school.
    3.My skills are I'm good with numbers, I can organise things and get on with all people and listen to there ideas.
    4.My favourite thing about I C T is the amount of information I have learned from computers and I Pads, it has helped me be more knowledgeable about the world around me.

    I want to be a Digital Leader because I know a lot of stuff about iPads and computers.I would like to help other people learn more about digital stuff.

    I like to help my mum,dad,granny and granda learn about phones and computers so the can play games and connect people.I like to play Mincraft,Rasberry Pi,Book Creater and Explain Everthing so that means I can show other people how these apps work and how you use them.

    I can do a lot of cool stuff on computers and I can fix iPads and I practic doing it a lot.

    My favourite thing is a lot of the cool apps and you can communicate a lot of people.

    I would like to be a Digital Leader because I want to help other pupils with their ICT skills.
    At home I'm responsible to keep my room tidy,helping my mum with the house work,feeding and walking the dog.
    My skills are listening, working well with others,always willing to help and I have a keen interest and working with ICT.
    My favourite thing about ICT is the cool apps that are available, Minecraft, iMovie,different ways of communicating with others and using Google to look up useful information.

    In school I am in the eco club and help my grandparents at home
    My skills are communicating with others listening and helping others
    My favourite things about ICT are coding and programming and using apps like GamePress to make games

    I would like to be a digital leader because I would help other children develop there programming skills.
    In school I love makeing games and slide shows and I love playing minecraft at home.
    The things I love about ICT are makeing game and developing the the stages of learning. Sometimes our task is to make a game for other children to play and have fun I always enjoy ICT .
    My skill are digital literacy and art I also really enjoy playing minecraft.

    2.I help my sister with some stuff on the computer at home.
    3.I would use good skills for a digital leader like knowing how to use apps on the i pads to show other children how to do stuff that we are learning in class.
